Snyrtileg, þægileg og skemmtileg aðstaða. Morgunmaturinn til fyrirmyndar og starfsfólkið alveg frábært. Afslappandi andrúmsloft og staðsetningi kjörin, stutt í bæinn jafn sem náttúruperlur og aðra afreyingu.

Guest house outside the village, with horses and possibility of horseback riding. Cooking facilities.Must leave shoes on a rack at the entrance. 6 microscopic rooms on second floor, single bed for two, with one side leaning against the wall. The impression is that the original rooms were split into 2. You can hear the neighbors as if they were in the room. Microscopic bathroom with the smallest sink ever seen. Breakfast 8.30/9.30, sweet and savory, good, in a nice room as is nice and big living room. Very nice owner. Too bad the rooms are really small because otherwise it is very nice.

Let me get this way to little place what's our favorite place that we've stayed along the ring road. We not only stayed here but we also went horse bike riding with Dottie. The owner of the ranch. Came out running to greet us as we arrived and showed us around his place. You can see the pride that he has and his location and how well kept and clean it is.. Time ||We came with our son who really enjoys horseback riding and the wonderful room that they provided. It had ample space for us to put our suitcases and the room was impeccable. It probably was one of the largest rooms we've stayed along the route. We were able to put things in the fridge that we had also use the additional common areas if need be. ||We wish we could have stayed longer because in the morning we were able to have a great breakfast with the sweet owners. We had another place to go along the Ring road otherwise we would have stayed another night. They were so welcoming and we felt so at home. We even gave hugs on the way up. ||This is a must for any family who has children who love animals and loves the open air. We will for sure be coming back but for a longer stay.

Wir waren auf unserer Island-Rundreise einmal um die Ringstraße (leider) nur für 1 Nacht in dieser netten kleinen Unterkunft. Ich bin schon viel in der Welt herumgereist und das waren mit Abstand die herzlichsten und besten Gastgeber! Die Zimmer waren sauber und zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Draußen gibt es einen Hot Pot am Haus. Zum Frühstück gab es frische Eier von den eigenen Hühnern und die Brötchen schmeckten selbstgemacht. Sehr lecker war die selbstgemachte Heidelbeermarmelade. Der Gastgeber erzählte uns abends und beim Frühstück Geschichten über Island und seine Frau gab uns einige gute Tipps. Abends spielte er sogar Klavier und sang für uns. Da er einmal Deutschlehrer war, kann er auch sehr gut Deutsch. Das Highlight war natürlich der kleine Polarfuchs, den sie großgezogen haben und sie immer noch täglich besucht. Man fühlt sich sehr willkommen in dieser Unterkunft. Wirklich sehr familiär und wunderschön!

Una stalla trasformata in accogliente guesthouse: Skorrahestar è una vecchia stalla di famiglia ristrutturata completamente e diventata una guesthouse accogliente. Thea e Doddi sono padroni di casa attenti e gentili, le camere sono ampie e confortevoli con letti soffici e la colazione ricca e con pane fatto in casa. Gli spazi comuni (salotto, cucina, sala da pranzo e salottino) sono ampi e con alcuni bei dettagli della vecchia struttura.

We stayed 2 nights at the lovely guesthouse Skorrahestar. Thea and Doddi were so kind with us. Thea shared her knowledge of the local area and more distant places, of Iceland and also her own stories. We really felt like at home and as we were friends. Thank you so very much for the very warm welcome and your kindness.

Skorrahestar Guesthouse is a relaxing place to lay your head and visit. It's located in a beautiful area off of N1, but still reachable - and worth the drive. The hosts are accommodating and made us feel at home. We arrived after dark having had a long day. They showed us our room and around the guesthouse. There was laughter and good conversation coming from the dining room & had we not been so tired, we would have joined in what promised to be delightful evening with two other guests and the host. We awoke the next morning relaxed and comfortable. Breakfast was a full buffet with many homemade offerings from ingredients raised on the farm. Thea is a wonderful cook and she provided plenty of food for us. Doddi, her husband, was quite entertaining - he told Icelandic stories, taught us about the language, and even sang an old Icelandic song. What a wonderful voice he has! They were concerned about the weather for us as we were driving North that day. They checked the weather and roads for us and shared the website that Icelanders live by when traveling. ||||After breakfast we went for a horse ride with Doddi and his daughter, Sunna. It was lovely and educational, as well.||||I wish that we'd had time to stay a few days with this fine and fun family. They are excellent hosts!

Wonderful location with possibility of horseback riding escursions. Hosting family warm and very kind. Super homemade breakfast and cosy rooms with private bathroom. The husband is a Great storyteller and piano player. The Wife is the perfect house hosting. |Well recommended 👍🏻
