Oh my goodness, went in the whale watching tour this morning and it blew my expectations away. I was fully prepared to not see a thing, such is the way of the natural world sometimes, but thought a boat trip to see seabirds would make me happy enough. Well, it was absolutely incredible. Our guide for the morning was knowledgable, funny and made the tour so much more than just an average tour and with his knowledge and help the guests go so many sightings of humpback whales. It was just incredible and to be honest has made my whole year and my trip to Iceland even more magical. I would recommend this to everyone - but just be aware that this isn’t a zoo, they’re not performing animals and sometimes you can go on these expeditions and not see a thing. Today was just magical though.

La excursión es en un barco de tres niveles. Dura unas 3 horas. Indican que suelen verse ballenas. Nosotros vimos ballenas, delfines y frailecillos buscando alimentos. Las ballenas vimos como una hembra al parecer acompañada de su cría salía cada 2 minutos a por aíre. Vimos también un macho saltar.

Didn't see any whales but had an amazing trip anyway. The staff were friendly and the tour guide was funny too. The boat was calm and didn't feel too busy despite being almost full. Hope to see some whales when we next visit

The tour was brilliant and our guide was interesting and good humoured, which added to the enjoyment of the trips. He were also knowledgeable and passionate about the subject, so you couldn't fail but get involved in the tour.
We were lucky enough to see 2 X humpback whales of the WW tour 18.11.22.
Complimentary sea sickness tablets are available at the ticket office and sea suits are available on board the boat.
If deck is too cold, there is ample warm seating inside with a café/toilets.
The guide takes photos and publish them for free on the company websites, which is a brilliant plus. The links are on the website and are easy to access and download from.
Our whale watching guide was a German marine biologist and kept us well informed and educated throughout.
I'd book with this company every time I visit Iceland as I cannot fault a single part of the services we purchased. Thank you to the whole team.

The boat is big and the staff is friendly. The tour guide/speaker is very knowledgeable and friendly. Unfortunately, we kept seeing the same whale-mink whale. Although, the tour guide claimed that in the morning they had sighted 4 different whales. I have done these a few times in different countries and honestly is not worth it. I would prefer to pay more and ride on a smaller boat and experience what you only see in videos. Overall, the service was good and the tour guide was friendly. It’s a 4 star because we did not receive an email that it was cancelled due to weather. We had already arrived at the harbour since we were close to an hour drive to Reykjavik.

We went on a whale watching tour with Reykjavik Sailors/Special Tours on the Andrea. The boat was quite large and the trip was quite busy, but there are plenty of places to stand/sit and the ship was piloted brilliantly to ensure everyone got to see the marine life.

We saw a lot of different dolphins on the way out to the main whale watching area, and then watches a family of 3 humpback whales feeding, diving and breaching.

Aside from the boat and the whales, excellent commentary is provided by the staff, which was both informative and hilarious

Myself and my son recently went on the whale watching tour during our stay in Reykjavík. We had come across this tour operator after having a walk down the harbour and seeing the poster. We booked online and found it to be a really good price. Both thoroughly enjoyed the tour. We were very lucky and managed to see whales and seals. The bolt journey itself was amazing just getting to see Iceland. The tour staff were amazing, very knowledgeable, very friendly and we enjoyed every minute of it. Would definitely recommend this to company to anyone who is visiting Reykjavík

I was probably lucky, but on August 24th 2024, I saw puffins (2), whales (5+, one extremely close, see picture) and a single dolphin. Despite the strong wind the trip was comfortable thanks to the "serious" equipment you find (for free) on the boat. Guide was good as well. I definitely recommend it.
