Had an amazing winter ride on perfectly behaved gorgeous Icelandic horses. The guide was amazing (really sorry I can’t remember your name!!) - very friendly and chatty. The owners of the stable were so welcoming. Stunning views - definitely recommend. We are 3 experienced horse riders from the UK and have ridden in multiple countries - one to remember forever!

I researched about a dozen horse riding options and so glad we went with this one!

We had two fantastic rides, 3 hrs each, one in the afternoon and the other the next morning. Stayed overnight, had dinner and breakfast there.

Very basic accommodations but comfortable enough and great value for the price. Also basic food but again good value for the price.

Our guides were VERY friendly and helpful. We were a combo of an expert and an intermediate rider and they fit us to horses and let us switch and try different horses. Lots of tolt and “gallop” (fast canter). Even the intermediate rider got a horse that he could gallop on.

Many different landscapes- along the river, along farm roads, near town, up the mountain a short way. Unfortunately we could not go far up the mountain due to snow, it was down in the valley on a mix of dirt roads and the riding paths, but at one point they did take us on a single track trail as far up as we could go toward the mountains and in a little bit of snow. I imagine this will be an even more fantastic place to ride in a month when the snow has melted.

Exceptionally kind and helpful hostess/owner, let us check out late and shower after our ride.

Yes! Better than coffee (early morning ride).
First the Icelandic horses are majestic and our guide Helena was so kind and we had a great time. Words can’t describe the scenery! Coffee and cakes at the end. My horse Saga was amazing and trained well, Kolfinnur was timid and great for my son who would not have normally rode a horse. Their other animals were adorable to include a giant cat, some bunnies etc. Thanks y’all 💕🐎🇮🇸

I was in the area in November 2020 for my birthday and the experience was absolutely gorgeous! The wind was blowing and the hills were all covered in snow - the views were literally breathtaking! It seemed to be on another planet...
I would definitely recommend this experience!
The lady running the business was very nice and also offered me a slice of cake and hot coffee for free 🙂

The tour guides were experienced and very accommodating. They made sure we were all comfortable and safe with the horses. The hot chocolate and homemade cakes at the end were a sweet touch

Fantastisch leuke ervaring opgedaan met paardrijden in IJsland. Ik had nog nooit eerder paard gereden maar dat maakte niets uit. Bij aankomst kregen we koffie. Naar een uitleg reden we twee uur lang paard in een prachtige omgeving. Ook na de rit kregen we weer koffie met koekjes. Erg leuk en allemaal vriendelijke mensen. Zeker de moeite waard!

Wir haben die drei Stunden Tour "Fascinating Eyjafjördur" mitgemacht und es war einfach großartig. Ein total abwechslungsreicher Ritt durch wunderschöne Landschaft. Unsere Gruppe, die aus 6 fortgeschrittenen ReiterInnen bestand, konnte sehr viel tölten und auch mehrere Berge hochgaloppieren. Um die Pferde nicht zu überanstrengen haben wir zwischendrin drei Pausen gemacht und ein Teil unserer Gruppe hat in einer der Pausen sogar einen Wal gesehen. Die Pferde an sich waren alles totale Schätze. Sehr brav und dennoch sensibel auf den / die ReiterIn reagierend. Auch das tölten gelang mit diesen Pferden spielerisch. Wir hätten uns diesen Ritt nicht besser vorstellen können!
