Mjög notalegur staður, gott andrúmsloft og þægileg þjónusta. Heitir pottar og lítil sundlaug eru staðsettt fyrir utan herbergin og snúa að skarðinu. Mjög gott að slaka á þar úti í náttúrunni og fara svo í slökunarherbergi með víxlfótaböðum, svona fyrir matinn. Við komum örugglega aftur!

We were nervous on the drive in because of nearby construction, but the hotel is nestled along the river facing a gorgeous geothermal area and out of sight and hearing of the bulldozers, so we felt like we'd descended into a different universe. Walking trails straight from the hotel lead up to the geothermal vents, and it's seven minutes from our trip highlight, the Reykjadalur hot river hike. Felt like we could spend a whole 'nother vacation just in this valley.||Our room (king bed, river view) was smallish but warm and clean, with heated tile floors, a mini fridge, and a lovely little balcony that came with an unexpected but welcome resident cat visit! The hot tubs are hot, gave us a perfect view of the Northern Lights over the mountains, and the sauna was a great way to dry off.||The restaurant (Varma) served one of the best meals I've ever had. Truly phenomenal chef and barely anyone there during late March. The waiter went out of his way to provide a gluten free option for my wife, too. Excellent breakfast buffet as well.||Oskar the staff masseuse is transcendently good, best massage my wife's ever had and delivered with care and compassion. Can't speak highly enough of him.||Disliked · For the expense, which is boutique hotel price, there were some little facilities touches that were a bit disappointing. The room was a bit small and crammed with furniture. Our bath robes had tears and holes, presumably from a dryer. Some noticeably spackled holes in the bathroom wall. It seemed like they were renovating the room next door, so perhaps this is a work in progress!

The hotel is notable for having a great restaurant and really excellent breakfast bar. The location is fantastic, with some great local restaurants and good access to the Golden Circle and not far from Reykjavik. The highlight is definitely the geothermal hot tub. We were able to see the Northern Lights from this hot tub, which was an unforgettable experience. The only challenge was our room being fairly cold initially, although the hotel provided a space heater which was very effective.

Rooms good, clean & warm, comfortable large king bed, although small and unable to open window slightly for fresh air, two large patio windows, one screwed shut, old redundant soap dispenser still on bathroom wall, just coffee maker available in room, no tea. Breakfast and location amazing, outside aesthetics of property appeared dated, think that’s the Iceland look though, active natural hot thermal vents around property which were really cool. Lamb for dinner absolutely amazing, soups x2 for starter average.

Piccola struttura, bellissima posizione sul fiume e vista sulle fumarole, camere piccole anche se gradevoli,bagno assolutamente insufficiente, sala comune per la colazione come un “giardino d’inverno “, carina ma arredata in modo troppo moderno, colazione buona, abbiamo cenato in hotel ma non lo consiglierei. Molto piacevoli le hot tubs con vista sul fiume.

Hotel estremamente costoso, ho dato un voto buono soprattutto per la bellezza della posizione sul ruscello con vari hot Springs adiacenti, una bellissima zona vetrata dove fare colazione. Anche la stanza, almeno alcune, hanno un bell’affaccio su ruscello, i bagni sono però molto vecchi e completamente non idonei alla struttura e al prezzo richiesto, assolutamente dal rimodernare, comunque molto costoso.

Stayed for one night in January. The hotel was ok but the outside does look a bit like a prison camp - some tongue and groove panelling would do a lot to improve the aesthetic. The room was ok but very small and a bit scruffy. However the bed was comfortable and the tv was a smart tv. The hot tub was nice and we took our own drinks there - think we were the only people in the hotel. The dinner was very good but it should be for the price. Overall you are paying for the view and not the room.

Wow! Fabulous! First stop right off the plane and we loved everything about it!! Location is good: close to Gorden circle, selection of restaurants within few minutes. Breakfast was delicious with view on the river and geothermal - impressive! and service very nice. Highly recommend as a base close to Gloden circle.
