This apartment was a fantastic find! It's super convenient with a supermarket within walking distance, making it easy to grab groceries. While the gym was a bit of a hassle and only offered two free days before a charge, we still managed to make it work.
The location is absolutely ideal for exploring the surrounding areas with a rental car, making day trips a breeze. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely choose to stay here again on our next visit!

Unfotunately, this was not our best experience. We arrived at 1500 for our check in and were greeted with a room that was disgusting. It smelled like a frat house and it had not been touched by the cleaners.

When I called the line provided they informed me they were told earlier in the day about the delay. This would not have been an issue if they had relayed that information to us, but they had not. They also refused to make any accomodations other than getting the cleaners in to clean the apartment ASAP, and we could leave our luggage in the apartment while they cleaned.

We had to sit on the steps/lobby to wait for the cleaners to get the apartment ready. The cleaners did an amazing job, but this took over two hours to complete. By this time we had been going on no sleep for close to 20 hours. As stated earlier in the review, if they had notified us when they knew it wouldn't be ready we could have made some arrangements that did not involve sitting on the steps in the building.

Stayed in a corner studio apartment. Quite cozy and had an awesome view of a lake. The bed and sofa sleeper were comfy and there was a lot of storage space. Had a nice kitchenette, stove, oven, fridge, and microwave. Plenty of parking. The staff were friendly and helpful when I reached out. Highly recommend! I will be stating here when I come visit again!

We stayed here for our 5 day trip to Iceland. It was our perfect base for us for exploring Iceland.
Did golden circle one day and other days went for longer trips. Farthest we travelled is Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon which is about 10 hour round trip. On summer days it is absolutely possible if you are willing to drive.
Excellent views from the living room. Supermarket BONUS very close. Kitchen for cooking essentials. Additional towels and essentials available to pick up.
Self check in and instructions were so clear and process was so smooth, parking area next to the main door.
I guess you will be able to watch northern lights perfectly through the windows in winter.

Not a hotel so you didn't get daily cleaning service, but you could request it for an additional charge. Apartment was very clean and perfect size for what we needed. Could have used more towels but they had a washer and dryer outside. Dryers were not drying very well. View from our room was awesome, we paid for a corner room to have a two sided view. Overall this was a great place to stay, we picked an apartment because of the kitchenette and mini fridge. I would definitely stay here again.

Disappointing Stay – Poor Maintenance and Cleanliness Issues:
I stayed here based on positive reviews and pictures, but unfortunately, my experience was very different. The building shows significant signs of wear, including scuffed walls and areas that could use better upkeep. Upon entering my room, there was an unpleasant odor, and I found several cleanliness issues: stains on the bed, dirty floors, hair in the bathroom, and an unclean refrigerator with a strong odor.

I raised these concerns with management, but their response was not helpful initially. However, a new housekeeper came and acknowledged the poor condition of the room, doing their best to improve it. I also had to request a replacement fridge, which was provided after some persistence. Additionally, I ended up cleaning parts of the room myself, which was disappointing given the price of the stay.

There were also noise issues, with every door and footstep being audible. I hope the management improves their cleaning standards and maintenance practices, as this property has potential but is in need of significant attention.

We had a really wonderful stay. The apartment was clean, spacious, and well equipped. The bed was super comfortable, and apartment was silent despite being in the city. It was also conveniently located with free parking outside, near a supermarket and also easy access to Reykjavik and other attractions such the golden circle. It was even easy to get to in thick snow. Thank you for a wonderful stay and we will certainly be back next time we’re in Iceland.
