Everything was very well organized and structured, our DIVE.IS tour guide Quim was fun, attentive and energetic and the experience is very worth it overall, as long as you come well prepared. While we were making our way there the day was cloudy/rainy and we were almost regretting having the tour on that day because we thought the visibility would be bad - and we were VERY wrong. The colors were still beautiful and the visibility is incredible. Plus, we were very lucky to witness a beautiful rainbow mid-swim after the clouds dissipated a bit. So don’t be discouraged by cloudy days! Also, as our guide explained, the water comes from the glacier, meaning that it will be freezing cold no matter the season. So just embrace it as a part of the experience and trust that you will be kept as warm as possible with the dry suit on. On that note, accept that your hands, face AND HAIR will get wet. And that is actually more bearable during the experience as one would think, but if you have long hair you might want to bring a small towel with you for after the experience. I would also advise you bring a change of warm top just in case some water gets in - I was very glad I had an extra fleece top in my bag because I had some water get through and my top was wet on my right shoulder even under the suit. Lastly, make sure you bring the chunkiest socks you have to keep your feet warm during the activity. They will come out fully dry, but you’ll be happy you had them on. Come prepared and you will love every minute of it. If you feel bold and don’t mind the cold so much, you can even try to dive at the end of the activity in the small lagoon! The guide will take pictures for you, so unless you have a waterproof camera (not a phone on a waterproof case), don’t think about it. Just relax and enjoy the dive!

We did not scuba dive, but my husband walked over and took these beautiful pictures. Very cool place to see in the water was crystal clear!

Beautiful crystal clear water. We jumped in with no dry suits. The water temp is about 5C or 40F. There's quite a few scuba and snorkeling companies around but I recommend you book in advance.

Very cool experience and well organized. My dry suit did leak in the legs, my dads did not. We wore quick dry clothes under the dry suit. Really cool concept of what you are snorkeling through, but very surprised there was no wild life in the water to see.

Incredible experience. The water is very clear and we were able to see about 40 meters deep.

Out of this world experience especially in winter. I did the snorkelling experience in early March. The water compared to the outside temperature is not that cold. And I’ve never seen such beautiful and clear waters with 20+ meters of visibility. If you’re getting cold easily, maybe consider taking this adventure in spring or summer, when outside it’s not that cold. The whole thing takes around 2-2:30 hours in which the snorkelling is around 40 minutes and the rest is preparation and afterwords warm chocolate and biscuits.

Highly recommended!

Worth a quick stop even if you’re not registered to go snorkelling! The color and clarity of the water is stunning. Car park is a short 3-5 minute walk from the pond area, its a mid sized lot so if you arrive late it may be full.

Really great experience! I went with Tröll Expeditions and our dive guide Lu was phenomenal. She was extremely knowledgeable about diving (of course) but also of the area and gave great information throughout the whole time in the water.
