We rented the top floor apartment of this unassuming building but it was the most cozy, comfortable, light-filled apartment of all the accommodations during our 12 night trip in Iceland. The apartment was large, spacious, the beds comfortable, there was a washer and dryer, and nice view of the water from smallish windows in the living area. We only stayed one night during a blustery/rainy/stormy day, but the accommodation made up for it. After checking in we drove through the tunnels to Olafsfjordur to visit the local pool in the cold and blustery weather on a Wednesday evening. We had the entire place to ourselves with the exception of five other people, and it was one of the highlights of our trip. The young man who checked us in was very kind and helpful too.

The property owner had grown up in the region and had an excellent knowledge of the area and can point you in the right direction to learn more about this fascinating township. We made the visit mainly from watching the TV series Trapped. We learned the film crew stayed three months at this property while shooting the program. The Siglo Hotel is a very short walk from the Guesthouse.||||It is highly likely the owner will not be at the property when you arrive, but is contactable by phone and comes within a few minutes.||||Although the room was clean, the kitchen has only essential items.

Abbiamo alloggiato per una sola notte in una camera familiare molto spaziosa con cinque posti letto. La camera si trova in mansarda (il soffitto è comunque alto) ed i lucernai non hanno tende oscuranti, il che rende difficile il riposo senza mascherine per dormire.||L'ostello si trova al porto di Siglufjordur e sembra ricavato da un ex magazzino. Si accede all'ingresso dopo aver percorso (faticosamente se con bagagli pesanti) una scala in metallo.||La cucina in comune è molto piccola.

Great Hotel built right on the Harbour. Very friendly hosts at check in. Checked in with Sun shine. 15 minutes later we had a down pour with hail. 15 minutes after that the Sun was out again. Met our fellow travelers in their Lounge area for a quick Bjor.(beer) The hotel has a Bistro about 100 meters across the parking lot where that serve great apies and light meals along with Happy Hour. The next mourning we walked across the street and had a guided tour of the Herring fish packing plant that had operated for over 100 years before the herring were fished out. This town is very close to where my maternal Grandfather came from in the 19th century and traveled to Canada. Great town to visit!

The apartment in which I stayed in was wonderful. It is just like an apartment you would live in. Fully furnished, stocked kitchen and bathroom, laundry room, everything needed. Wonderful location at the end of main street and short walking distance from everything in town. The family running the business are kind, courteous, and always on hand to help. Very clean place and overall and amazing bargain for what you get!

Chambre très propre et lits très confortable. Le lieu de vie est bien décoré. Le propriétaire est cool et accueillant.
A l'intérieur deux douches trois wc plus deux cuisines équipée ( manque une passoire ) et sèche linge et machine à laver avec lessive a disposition.

We booked on impulse not knowing anything| but it turned out to be just what we needed. Clean spacious double rooms, kitchenette for self catering and a large lounge area. Short walk from some bars and restaurants. Good value.

Ottimo appartamento, grande e accogliente.
Presente lavatrice, asciugatrice e un'ottima cucina (manca lo scolapasta 😂).
Unica pecca la vista dalla finestra sul cantiere del porto.
