An amazing experience! Davis was a fantastic guide and is very passionate about the natural environment of Iceland.
We were very lucky with the weather and had blue skies at the beginning for some stunning views of the Glacier.
The caves were stunning and Davis was very knowledgeable, we learned lots of interesting facts.
The drive there (about 40 minutes) in the super jeep was comfortable and fun.
We had a bonus drive along a black beach which was magical. Thank you Davis for a memorable trip.

We did 2 tours here while staying in Vik over the course of 2 days: the Black Beach Buggy Tour and the FastTrack Ice Cave Tour. We did this in the beginning of March so we had very different weather each day.
The buggy tour was so much fun but we had a couple of mishaps. One of the buggies stalled out twice so they had to replace it about 20 minutes into the tour but they did so very quickly and it didn't affect our experience. Then, the weather had turned and there was a river on the black beach that is not usually there so our guide, Alex, went first but then got stuck and we had to pull him out with our buggy. He was very apologetic but it was not a big deal. There was also 50 mph winds, so driving back on the main road we were going AGAINST the wind, which was INSANE but such a cool experience and story to have. Even with the crazy weather and mishaps, it was a highlight of our trip.
The next day we had perfect weather. It was "warm", clear skies, great visibility and normal winds. Driving in, our guide was very knowledgeable about the area and was entertaining. The actual ice caves were incredible to see and surreal. They were so beautiful, and I would definitely recommend this tour. One of my favorite parts of our whole trip to Iceland.
We also got the Black Crust Pizzeria after each tour - it was THAT good!

What an EXPERIENCE!! My partner and I booked a tour with Katla Track in August 2024, and it was our favorite experience that we did on our nearly 2 week trip to Iceland.

Our guide (I don't remember their name but they were absolutely incredible) was born and raised in Iceland and it was so amazing getting to learn not only about Katla, but about folklore, history of Iceland, etc. I was in complete awe during the entire tour. It was an otherworldly experience and all the staff we had talked to were the sweetest people ever.

When I go back to Iceland, I'm definitely going to be booking another tour through them! 10/10, HIGHLY recommend!

Chouette expérience, ce n'est pas une grotte mais plusieurs jolies cavités que l'on explore pendant une petite balade. La partie big jeep est sympa aussi car les paysages sont merveilleux. Notre guide était super, il prenait le temps de nous expliquer et aussi de nous laisser le temps d'admirer. Et d'attendre que les autres groupes soient sortis. C'est en effet le seul point négatif il y a pas mal de groupes qui font la visite en même temps...

We visited in January and had a great tour with Tamás. He was very knowledgeable about the site and was so fun to be around for the adventure getting to and from the ice caves. The ice cave site has beautiful surroundings and the combined volcanic sediment and glacial ice make a uniquely beautiful cave setting even compared with other glacier attractions.

My wife and I took the Katla ice cave tour with Mike as our guide. The experience was excellent! Mike gave an informative review of the area and the glacier. He also offered insightful tips for other sights to see in the local area. He even had a special surprise for our tour group! Katlatrack is an excellent company with modern and well-maintained vehicles. They are very conscious of your safety and also respectful of the glacier and the surrounding terrain.

Our first time in Iceland and we did the fast track ice cave tour. It ended up snowing like a blizzard the morning we went but we felt very safe in the hands of our guide while driving in and out of the snowy terrain and while exploring the area to the ice cave. Thomas was very knowledgeable, answered our questions about ice caves/volcanoes/Iceland in general, a great photographer, and cracked some good jokes along the way! We definitely recommend going for the early tour as we had the entire place to ourselves before more tours showed up!

We had the best time on this tour. The views and experience were incredible. Ari was the best guide ever and made sure we had fun, answered all of our questions and shared great info on Icelandic culture and traditions. This is one of the best things we did in Iceland!
