It was my good luck to have found Iceland Highlights tour company. The booking process was easy and they were extremely responsive in answering all of my questions. When the cruise ship changed the immigration processing times at the last minute I had to change my small group Golden circle tour and they were so cooperative. They rebooked us on a larger group tour. It hit all of the highlights, the tour guide was terrific and the cost beat everyone else. The next day we took a private small group highlights tour. It was a completely different itinerary than our first tour and our guide/driver was wonderful. It was so nice in a mini bus. Very comfortable and everyone had a good view. If I come back here again I definitely will use them again.

We enjoyed the horseback riding experience. Farm and staff are lovely.
Make sure you arrange for a taxi ride when booking (I did this via direct email contact with Iceland Highlights) from the ship to the farm and then again from the farm back to town or the ship ahead of time. We did and so glad we did (taxis were all booked for the day).
For the taxi ride back after your ride (farm to ship or town) have the taxi there about a half hour after the tour. We had the taxi scheduled for 15 minutes after the scheduled start of the 1 hour ride. Which was not enough time. The 1 hour tour did not depart on time. Lucky for us the taxi waited.

For our recent trip to Iceland (July 12th – 18th, 2023) my mother and father and I booked for the week, through Iceland Highlights’ Travel Agency, private car and guide services , which were excellent. ). Agnes was our driver and guide. This letter is to commend Iceland Highlights and Agnes for the very fine job that she did and to help ensure that her exceptional skills are recognized and valued. We have used private car and guide services for many years for vacations in many parts of the world, and we all agree that Agnes stands out as one of the very best guides we have ever had; she made what could easily have been an average vacation into one that was truly outstanding.

Perhaps it should be a given, but we wish to emphasize that Agnes is a very good driver, because we can attest that has not always been the case with the drivers with other services. With Agnes, we were never uncomfortable; without exception, she drove very safely and professionally.

Agnes has a remarkably pleasant and engaging personality, and she communicates very effectively. Her knowledge of Iceland and the various places on our itinerary was exceptionally good, and she provided information with an enthusiasm that communicated her personal love for Iceland and its wonders Also her descriptions were often accompanied by interesting anecdotes that helped bring those places to life for us.

Perhaps most importantly, Agnes quickly assessed who we were as people and skillfully adapted our tour to our particular interests and preferences so that the tour was enjoyable to everyone, even though my mother and father, being older with limited mobility, have a very different approach from mine. In doing so, Agnes effectively became “part of the family,” interacting with each of us according to our interests and abilities.

We were delighted with our trip and with Agnes, and we recommend her (and by association Iceland Highlights) most highly.

We use Iceland Highlights twice during our visit to Iceland. They provided us outstanding car service for 2 of us from airport to BLue Lagoon then to a Hotel in Reykavik. Then we used them again at the end of our trip for 4 of us from hotel to Sky Lagoon then to airport. On time, comfortable vehicles and personable service form all staff. I would highly recommend using Iceland Highlights to help make your trip to Iceland easy an comfortable.

Absolutely no regrets for booking with Iceland Highlights! We breezed through the lines waiting for Taxis/Ubers into a clean, comfortable vehicle with a wonderful driver (Helga) who picked us up on 3 different occasions during our travels. We booked a 4 and a half hour private transfer from Keflavik airport to the cruise terminal in Reykjavik with Iceland Highlights.
And it was absolutely amazing!
Our flight arrived earlier, but our driver Marius was already there meeting us, very friendly and accommodating.
He introduced us to Iceland, its beautiful nature, lava fields, Blue Lagoon, active volcano, reforestation efforts, small towns, Reykjavik, and to Icelandic President!
He told us many interesting stories about the life in Iceland, about the role Iceland played in history, its geology and policies.
It was a pleasure meeting Marius and working with other people from Iceland Highlights who made it all so good organized.
