Beautiful work, hand-made pieces and wooden machines by the artist, his wife, and his father, as well as work by other local artists. The gallery is built around the woodshop of the artist's father. You need to ring the doorbell for entry - the fee is 1500ISK per person, and it is worth it. We were given a very personal tour about the different pieces and their origins, as our host graciously worked to talk to us in English. We also got an impromptu demonstration of a refurbished church organ.

Mein Sohn und ich haben von Selfoss aus eine kleine Rundtour an der Küste entlang gemacht. Erst ein Besuch im Troll- und Feenmuseum (Islandic Wonders) in Stokkseyri und dann am Fluss entlang zum Urridafoss, nahe der Ringstraße 1. Dabei sind wir durch Zufall auf dieses kleine Museum und Atelier gestoßen.

Das Museum zeigt Holzskulpturen der "Künstlerfamilie" und "historischen Geschichten". Der Sohn des Künstlers hat uns herumgeführt und einen Einblick in die Familiengeschichte, das Leben in Island früher und die Entstehung des Hofes gegeben. Es war eine sehr persönliche Führung. da er auch viel von seinem Vater berichtete. Sehr interessant und hat den Rundtrip schön bereichert.
